Elysium - New supercomputer at Ruhr-Universität Bochum

Ruhr-Universität Bochum has launched its new HPC cluster Elysium. This means that a Tier 3 HPC supply is now also available in Bochum. The system from Megware is based on AMD Zen4 CPUs and NVIDIA GPUs.

CLAIX-2023: New Supercomputer at the RWTH

The RWTH Aachen University is delighted that the full installation of the new Aix-la-Chapelle (CLAIX) cluster will soon be completed! Under the label CLAIX-2023, the new high-performance computer not only offers powerful Intel Xeon 8468 Sapphire Rapids CPUs with a total of 96 cores per computing node for a significant increase in performance.

New Supercomputer "Noctua2"

April: Paderborn University gets a new supercomputer. “Noctua2”, the project name of the second expansion stage of the “Noctua” installed in 2018, is being built by Atos and is due to be installed at the end of the year. The computer, with a total financing volume of more than 14 million euros, will be the first system to move into the new HPC data center of the Paderborn Center for Parallel Computing (PC2).
