Reverse Hybrid Workshops at HPC.NRW

Flexible Trainings Across Multiple Locations

HPC.NRW is launching a new workshop series in the reverse hybrid format. The sessions are led virtually by instructors at the Bonn site and streamed live to multiple HPC.NRW locations. Participants attend on-site at each location and are supported by assistants with questions and exercises. This creates a practical training format that combines the benefits of in-person and online learning.

The next course unit of the series, "Intro to Programming with Python", will take place on January 19 and 20, 2026. Participants at the Bonn site will attend the workshop in person. At other HPC.NRW locations, the course will be streamed live from Bonn, and participants will follow the sessions together on site, supported by local assistants. Registration for each session is handled via the registration page of the respective university.

The reverse hybrid format not only promotes knowledge exchange but also fosters networking within the HPC.NRW community. Through cross-location collaboration, a vibrant network is created that sustainably strengthens the exchange between universities, researchers, and HPC experts.
